The SDS-3 is a modern reissue of one of the earliest drum synthesiser designs from the late 1970s, built around the same core analogue concept but adapted for contemporary setups. It offers four identical drum synthesis channels, each capable of being triggered by audio, making it ideal for turning miked drums or percussion into synthetic textures with dynamic response.
Each channel allows control over pitch, decay, bend and transient click, with inputs that respond to playing dynamics. A shared master section shapes all four voices with global pitch control, LFO modulation and output level. Alongside audio triggering, the SDS-3 can also be triggered via MIDI or USB, opening it up to sequenced and hybrid workflows.
Designed for both studio and live use, it can be mounted directly into a Eurorack case for easy integration with modular systems.
