The VOX Hand-Wired series recreates classic AC30 tone through detailed analysis of original vintage amplifiers, balancing authenticity with modern usability. VOX studied multiple original power supply circuits to develop a new design that delivers the feel, response, and harmonic character of early AC30s while reducing unwanted ghost notes without dulling the sound.
Great care was also taken with the output transformer and cabinet construction, as both play a major role in the signature VOX midrange and harmonic richness. By matching the thinner cabinet materials used in vintage models, the Hand-Wired amps retain the open, expansive sound players expect. A high-quality spring reverb was included to complete the classic experience, while a thoughtfully integrated effects loop allows modern modulation and time-based effects to remain clear when used with driven amp tones.
