The Catalinbread CSIDMAN Ghost is a spectre of stuttering signal manipulation, bringing back to life the formidably digital CSIDMAN with new haunting tricks and treats.
In its stark new colorway, the CSIDMAN Ghost provides all the same tools of the original effect, offering a transparent digital delay with the ability to invite cuts, skips, and dropouts reminiscent of digital playback in distress. Something akin to playing your guitar through an old portable CD player on a bumpy highway, the original unit's Cuts and Latch controls have been combined into a single knob, offering intuitive shaping of these highly interrelated glitch parameters. Keep this control all the way to the left for a simple digital delay, or crank it up to add random cuts and skips to your delay line.
Time, mix, and feedback controls work as you'd expect to adjust the delay time up to 725ms, control dry/wet blend, and add repeats. The feedback control is related to the glitch effect, in that more repeats allow for more opportunities for digital sputters and skips.
The ghost control knob introduces sample rate reduction that pulverises repeats into pure digital spice, perfect for adding that touch of granular delight in any musical context.
