The Prunes & Custard is a two-stage circuit with a preamp stage followed by a special waveshaping distortion circuit capable of producing strong odd harmonic overtones with higher harmonics introduced with increased drive & signal level, from swept filter type sounds to intermodulation effects along the lines of a ring modulator.
