1966 Gibson B-45-12 in Natural. Concert sized 24.75" scale length 12 string acoustic guitar featuring solid spruce top with X-bracing, mahogany back and sides and neck. Made in the USA.
Includes original Australian import Stamford Case (spray painted black on the exterior but with yellow velvet lining.
Although the B-45-12 features X-bracing opposed to the ladder bracing found on the lower range Gibson twelve-strings, the soundboard has seen some minor warping (all bracing is attached perfectly fine) which is very common with these models.
Some slight collapse at the neck pocket and underneath the guard (again, extremely common on these models and far from the worse we've seen).
The soundboard and neck are perfectly stable and no other damage or repairs have been done to the guitar. Some pockmark blemishes on the rear finish however, like the gorgeous checking in the nitro finish are only cosmetic and not actually deep enough into the wood.
The saddle has been replaced and has plenty of room as has the truss rod.
The guitar was recently setup with by Jon Shub at Shub Guitars and playing fantastically well.
Extremely lightweight and very resonant. An absolute pearler of a twelve string from our favourite era of Gibson.
