Simple compressor/limiter with controls for input/threshold and output gain. It uses an LED based optical element to control gain reduction which produces a smooth and natural sound. It can be used on a range of sound sources but excels when used on vocals, guitar and bass. It is the successor to the LA-3A and used by many artists and producers including Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Prince, Bruce Swedien and more.
Has had XLR input and output mods.
