Westville's Westel is a semi-hollow, 25.25" scale tip of the hat to the T-Style design with bleeding-edge advancements in engineering, and luxury appointments and finishing. Sophisticated lines inside and out; a clean, easy playing form factor, and a beautifully, carefully machined interior that maximises rigidity, weight balance, and acoustic characteristics in three dimensions.
Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top, solid South African mahogany back, one piece of hard maple neck, ebony fingerboard, and Westel's original stepped tapered head stock for optimised strength and string break angle. Sporting an original Japanese Alnico 4 humbucker in the bridge position, and a newly developed 'Crest 8' pickup in the neck position that delivers a 'microphonic' sound without making the 6th string boomy when thumb picking. Finally, the body is finished in a thin, gloss lacquer, and the neck in a smooth matte that is soft to the touch.
