The EX-8000 is a digitally controlled, analogue rackmount synth released in the mid '80s. The sound in the EX-8000 is produced through the DWGS (Digital Waveform Generator System), and boasts 16 waveforms, ranging from basic analogue to intricate digital, a leap from its previous 8. This system can handle 8-voice polyphony in two distinct modes or a monophonic mode that stacks all eight voices. Both the analogue VCF resonant filter and VCA come with their own ADBSSR envelopes (an envelope unique to Korg and a few other synth engines, Attack, Decay, Breakpoint, Slope, Sustain and Release). A single adaptable slider allows for real-time adjustments to parameters. Additionally, there are 64 presets available that can be customised by users.
Includes 110v step down transformer & rare two prong cable. Parameter buttons need a good firm push and R output seems to not work. Tape interface untested.
