Rare 1976 Guild S-100 / Polara in White featuring Guild's signature humbucking pickups in a super lightweight mahogany 'SG'-inspired body. Super thin-profiled neck with super comfortable contours. Rosewood fingerboard with a Gibson scale length, adjustable bridge with the iconic Guild stopbar tailpiece and a very nicely worn in finish that feels just like home. You can't buy this type of mojo!
A fantastic alternative to the Gibson SG (especially a '70s one); the Guilds from this era were built to the same specs as the original Polara/S-100 that debuted with this double-horned body style in 1969. Fast and slick, smooth and raunchy.
Only 3.54kg (7.80lbs)!
Made in Westerly, USA.
Includes original case however no buckles match Few dings here are there as well as plenty of mojo checking and some nitro de-lamination (very common in Guilds from this era). Refretted long ago as well as a graphite nut. Missing one control backplate screw and one pickup mounting screw has been replaced.
All knobs non original however remind us of a crossover universe where Kim Thayil & Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols were one in the same.. Never Mind the Spoonmans!
