1974-1975 Gibson Ripper featuring ultra thin maple body with 3-piece maple neck (laminate with maple cap fingerboard), futuristic Bill Lawrence pickup, switching and pickguard.
Ultra featherweight 3.58kg (7.89lbs) too!
As played by the likes of Lou Barlow, Mike Dirnt, Krist Novoselic, Nate Mendel, Kim Gordon, Tony Levin, Rick Danko, Carol Kaye, Gene Simmons, Suzi Quatro, Steve McDonald, Mark Evans (ACDC), Ted Mulry, Paz Lenchantin, Riley Trueman & Chris Squire.
Includes custom cut Transit Pak (Made in Melbourne) aluminium-cornered flight case & original truss rod cover (spare one too with truss rod access hole cover cut-out). Truss rod nut has been replaced with oversized one that does not sit flush to headstock face and pokes out a little - hence the truss rod cover off in photographs.
One pot looks to have been replaced & some wiring inside has been replaced however caps look original. Serial number reads as 1972 however Gibson's serials are all over the place during the 1970s thanks to Norlin's poor serialisation method.
Missing original case & bridge cover however otherwise fully functional and playing great with rounds.
