The Liven XFM is a both a performance oriented groovebox and a highly tweakable FM synth engine, which employs advanced FM synthesis instead of 8-bit sounds. Its sequencer is deep and sophisticated, offering up to 64 steps per pattern, 128 patterns in total, and creative functions such as parameter lock, stutter, note trigger probability, swing, pattern chaining, and more.
The LIVEN offers full access to the 4-operator XFM engine for FM synthesis, with 15 knobs and 30 buttons for precise adjustments. The sequencing engine provides up to 6-note polyphony and offers mono, poly, legato, and arpeggiator modes. Each track has its own filter envelope and there are various effects like chorus, flanger, bit-crusher, distortion, reverb, and more. The engine includes 6 LFOs that can affect pitch and filter cutoff.
