Q CAT is an Envelop Filter Effect. It is a special wah effect, and it is neither an auto wah nor wah pedal with manual control. The basic theory is using the intensity and attack of your playing to engage the wah filter. Turning the sensitivity knob will affect how it responds to your playing style, set all the way to the left it will react to notes with higher volume and attack and at full clockwise will be very sensitive to your playing.
