The SY-22 is a sturdy '90s digital synth from Yamaha. The onboard joystick allows the user to create unique sounds by altering / combining samples and FM sounds (adapted from Yamaha's DX line). Joystick moves can also be recorded and repeated - a unique feature allowing for more complex and fun sound creation. It also has a drum kit sound set and simple built-in effects.
