Originally launched in 1958 alongside the Flying V, the Gibson Explorer was decades ahead of its time. Its radical angular body and futuristic design were initially misunderstood but later became a cornerstone of rock and metal history.
Revived for the 2019 Original Collection and built in Nashville. The dual Burstbucker humbuckers capture that unmistakable Gibson roar with articulate highs and thick mids, offering everything from smooth sustain to snarling aggression.
The natural nitro finish lets the wood breathe and age beautifully, while the angular design still feels futuristic 70 years after its debut!
