The TP-7 is a pocket-sized field recorder designed with Teenage Engineering’s trademark mix of utility and playfulness. At its heart is a spinning motorised wheel that controls recording, playback and scrubbing, turning audio capture into something tactile. It records in 24-bit/96kHz with 128GB of built-in storage, a built-in mic, and three flexible TRRS I/O jacks for external gear or headphones. A rocker bar handles fast-forward and rewind, while the dedicated memo button wakes the unit instantly to capture ideas on the fly. With multitrack layering, transcription support via app, and up to seven hours of battery life, the TP-7 is as much a creative sketchpad as it is a field recorder.
