1972 Cherry red 30.5" scale electric bass based on the iconic asymmetrical SG body shape featuring a one-piece mahogany body & 3 piece mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard.
Electronics consist of two Patent Number humbucking pickups (Mudbucker & Mini-Humbucker) with volume & tone controls for each and a 4 way pickup varitone-style pickup selector, offering a choke on the treble pickup and high-cut filter on the neck pickup.
One of the most playable, versatile-sounding bass guitars for anyone of any size as demonstrated by the likes of Andy Fraser (Free), Trevor Bolder (David Bowie/Spiders From Mars) & the mighty Mike Watt of the Minutemen.
Made in Kalamazoo, USA.
In fantastic condition with almost no fretwear. This guitar retains all original parts aside from a replaced set of saddles.
No breaks or serious signs of wear aside from some filled holes where the bridge cover would have been installed and some additional holes for the strap pin (it has been relocated to the original position).
Includes original hardshell case which has held up very well over the years with all latches functioning and just a little tolex-lift at the seams.
Possibly the most affordable one in the world - priced for a quick sale!
