Characterized by its distinctive features, the Selmer-Maccaferri boasts a robust steel-string construction, a notable large-bodied design with square bouts. It's upper right bout features a cutaway, enhancing accessibility for players. Strings are meticulously arranged over a movable bridge, akin to a mandolin, while two "moustache" markers adorn the soundboard, aiding in bridge positioning. Notably, the guitar's gently arched or domed top is achieved through innovative wood bending techniques, setting it apart from traditional archtop guitars.
