This vintage Sony microphone became a favourite with the BBC for live broadcasts and field reporting due to its extremely fine unidirectional pickup pattern. They were mainly designed for large halls where placing a close mic on an instrument was not an option. We would describe it's sound as generally flat with a surprisingly warm top end and plenty of bottom end oomph, this can be controlled by two distinct low-cut switches. A beautiful piece of Japanese machining. Give it a try in the studio! Why not?
This thing is very nearly mint. Includes the original box and wind sock in exceptional condition. Also includes a neat little dummy battery.
