The Ectocore is a collaboration between Infinite Digits and Toadstool Tech. Its designed for performance-based algorithmic breakbeat-focused sample mangling.
The platform was built from the ground up to stream audio directly from an SD card, offering real-time capabilities to chop, slice, and apply dynamic effects to your samples. 16 different FX are available with FX preset curation through the Grimoire knob.
Thereās also an internal rungler/turing machine inspired looping random sequencer for easily and quickly generating new slice patterns. It features clock input and output (with a clock divider/multiplier) and will pitch up or down samples to keep them in time. Sample management is easy through 16 banks and a powerful GUI browser tool for chopping and analysing samples and changing settings.
