Similar to the enhancements seen in the modwave mkII, the modwave module boasts an impressive 60 stereo voices of polyphony, nearly doubling the capacity of the original modwave's 32 voices. This level of polyphony is unmatched in wavetable synthesizers within its price range. Designed with flexibility in mind, the module is encased in a 4U rack-mountable enclosure, mirroring the control layout of its keyboard counterparts for ease of use, while also ensuring portability and a neat fit into both studio and desktop production environments.
In response to feedback from the user community, significant updates have been made to the LFOs, including the addition of free-running, delayed start, and retriggering capabilities. Additionally, a new pre/post switch for reverb sends, fresh modulation sources, and more enhancements have been introduced. To bring these advancements to existing users, a software update will be made available for the original modwave.
The modwave module maintains full compatibility with the sound and sample libraries of the original modwave, modwave mk II, and modwave native software, extending its utility by also supporting a broad range of exceptional third-party libraries.
