The A-120 module is a voltage-controlled 24dB low-pass filter that filters out the high frequency components from a sound spectrum while allowing the low ones to pass unhindered. The cut-off frequency (corner frequency) determines the point at which this effect occurs. You can adjust or modulate these manually as well as via control voltages (filter modulation, eg with an LFO). Three CV inputs are available for this purpose, with the applied control voltages being added up. The module is built as a so-called "transistor cascade" with a slope of -24 dB / octave, which was also used in various Moog synthesizers. This results in the typical, "legendary" Moog sound. The resonance (emphasis) is adjustable up to self-oscillation. In this case, the filter works as a sine wave oscillator. 8hp.
