Brian Wampler's Moxie pedal offers a fresh take on the classic TS10® Tube Screamer® circuit, packaged in a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure. The original Ibanez® Tube Screamer® has long been revered as one of the most iconic circuit designs, with a history dating back to its debut in the late 1970s. While numerous companies have produced 808/TS9-style pedals, Brian has always held a special affinity for the TS10®.
The Moxie pedal is a versatile powerhouse, capable of delivering anything from a subtle boost to a gritty, overdriven tone that can push amplifiers into intense distortion. It retains the warmth and richness associated with this classic design while adding an extra bite to your sound. In addition to the standard controls, Brian has incorporated two distinctive switches to enhance your sonic palette.
The Voice switch provides added clarity by reshaping the entire EQ profile of the pedal, resulting in a more transparent yet robust tone. Meanwhile, the Fat switch introduces an extra layer of gain through a customized MOSFET clipping stage, reminiscent of the character found in high-end boutique amplifiers.
