A handwired clone of the Aclam Doctor Robert with 'Max Schau' Boost based on the mythical VOX UL-730 used by John Lennon, George Harrison & Paul McCartney of The Beatles during the Revolver sessions in early 1966 as well as some of the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band recordings.

This is THE sound of 'Rain', 'She Said, She Said', 'Doctor Robert', 'And Your Bird Can Sing' & 'Taxman' as well as countless others. The UL-730 was also famously used on the first Joy Division album, 'Unknown Pleasures' by Bernard Sumner - an essential factor in the band's sound.

The Submarine differs from the Doctor Robert with EXTERNAL 3-Band EQ as opposed to just the MIDS on the outer enclosure of the original for easy tonal sculpting. Otherwise it is a direct reproduction of a reproduction of one of the most iconic (and rarest) amplifiers out there!

Handwired in Bairnsdale, Victoria (Australia).
