Incredibly rare 1968 VOX Apollo crafted by EKO featuring an incredibly unique two-way treble & bass booster (an idea borrowed and most likely circuitry, from JEN), a BC108 transistor FUZZ (yes, you read that right) which was famously used by George Harrison and Lou Reed to get that insane amount of saturation and feedback heard all over the Velvet Underground's 'Sister Ray' (pretty much a silicon Tone Bender) as well as one of the most unique features you've probably ever heard on an electric guitar - the futuristic 'E Tuner' which is essentially an effect that produces a drone in the key of E to help you tune but is perfect for awesome pysch-jams.
Can you believe it - all powered by a 9v Battery!?
A Florentine cutaway constructed of maple, the bolt on maple neck is a multi-ply with plenty of gorgeous flame that feels just like a vintage Fender A-width neck profile from the 1960s.
Crafted in the EKO factory in Recanati, Italy.
Includes original Vox hard shell case (albeit missing latches and original VOX badge.
Fully setup prior to sale.
