1981 International Series Fender Stratocaster in a dashing Maui Blue finish with tuxedo plastics and a hardtail bridge. Featuring a chunky '70s D-neck (Dated 1979); the International Series was the last of the classic Strat's before the 'Dan-Smith Era', utilising parts and designs from 1979-1981 before the updated designs came in later. The International Series were released in 9 different colours; Cathay Ebony, Arctic White, Sienna Sunburst, Capri Orange, Monaco Yellow, Morocco Red, Sahara Taupe & Maui Blue. The International Series are often mis-dated as 1979-1981 but they were only made for 12 months in 1981 and have proven to be as rare as they are fashionable. Made in USA.
Some honest wear but in very good condition. Includes aftermarket tweed case.
