1974 Gibson J-160e, the model famously used by John Lennon and George Harrison. The Gibson J-160E guitar is equipped with a solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, trapezoid fingerboard inlays on a 3-piece mahogany neck, P90 style pickup at the neck, and controls for volume and tone.
A slight departure from the original sloped shoulder design, in the late 1960s, Gibson Acoustics all transitioned to square-shouldered Dreadnought body shapes to uniform the catalogue. These later models sound just like pickup-equipped Hummingbirds or Southern Jumbo's with those great low mids that really project.
Made in the USA.
Includes original Stamford Hard Shell Case. These were the original cases supplied by importers in the Australia at the time.
Original bridge & saddle have been sanded down however still a enough height left. No breaks or repairs & still sporting the original Grover tuners & electronics.
