44448
Soma Laboratory Terra MDF

Terra is a distinctive microtonal, 12-voice polyphonic synthesiser built around an expressive sensor-based interface. Housed in MDF, it combines 32 factory-coded synthesis algorithms with pressure- and velocity-sensitive metal sensors, inviting tactile performance techniques beyond a conventional keyboard.

Its 12 dynamic note sensors respond to velocity and aftertouch, allowing manual vibrato and slow attacks, while four additional dynamic sensors provide direct control over sound parameters. A built-in three-axis gyroscope adds further physical expression, enabling modulation through hand and body movement.

Terra’s synthesis range spans polyphonic synth voices, acoustic modelling, singing bowls, bells, basses, lead sounds, drums, percussion and experimental algorithms. It also offers individually programmable microtonal tuning, with touch controls for octave and semitone transposition, parameter and note freezing, and keyboard tuning.

For more direct access to sounds, Terra includes 96 fully customisable plug-and-play presets. It can also operate as a MIDI controller with MPE support.

Features

12-voice polyphonic synthesiser

32 synthesis algorithms, including:

Polyphonic synth sounds

Acoustic modelling

Singing bowls and bells

Bass and solo lead sounds

Drums and percussion

Experimental algorithms

12 dynamic metal note sensors with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch

Four dynamic metal sensors for sound parameter control

Additional touch sensors for:

Octave and semitone transposition

Preset selection and global settings

Editing additional synthesis parameters

Freezing current notes and sound parameters

Keyboard tuning

Individually programmable microtonal keyboard tuning

Eight controls for synthesis parameters, volume and effects

Built-in three-axis gyroscope for vibrato and additional expression

Selectable reverb or echo effects

Memory for 96 presets

MIDI controller mode with MPE support

Connectivity

2 × 6.3 mm line outputs

6.3 mm stereo headphone output

5-pin DIN MIDI input and output

USB-A port for flash drive

Specifications

Housing: MDF

Dimensions (W × D × H): 405 × 365 × 57 mm

Weight: 2.2 kg

Video: https://youtu.be/IGdEPiazjlU

Product Specs

Item Number: 44448

Make: Soma Laboratory

Model: Terra MDF

Condition: Brand New

Finish: Black

Categories: keyboards-and-synths ⇒ digital-synths

Made In: Poland

MPN: SOM-TERMDF

EAN: 5902600339304

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2604/0858/files/Soma_Laboratory_Terra_MDF_sku_44448_MPN_-Found_Sound.jpg?v=1793878134
