Also known as the Nagoya harp. Originally developed in the early 20th century by Gorō Morita it uses a series of spring-loaded keys to fret strings tuned to a chromatic scale, inspired by the keys of a typewriter. This "Ran" series model has built-in magnetic pickup, tone and volume controls and a built-in tuner.
All strings are tuned to the same note, usually G, over three octaves, with the top three thinner strings being unison.
Includes original case and Suzuki koto plectrum.
