The Leslie 147 is a two-way speaker system with a horn loaded compression driver and a 15" woofer, powered by a 40-watt tube amplifier. The custom high-frequency compression driver drives the horn, while the 15" woofer and its enclosure occupy most of the speaker-cabinet space, featuring special internal porting for improved bass reproduction. The crossover frequency is 800 Hz, and the overall impedance is 16 ohms.
This is a beautiful example of a 1970s model, made in the USA with hardwood and ply construction as opposed to Australian assembled models that were made with inferior quality chipwood.
Included with this model is the magic preamp (also made in the USA) that opens up this fantastic bit of gear to not just organists, but guitarists, bassists, singers and synth enthusiasts alike - all in all an amazing tool to get the exciting sounds of yesteryear that simply cannot be replicated by modern effects units.
