The rare M 269 is a large-diaphragm, multipattern tube condenser microphone using the the same capsule and footprint of the U67 but using an AC701 tube as opposed to the U67's EF86. This special version was made at the request of the German broadcast industry.

The “Omni” and “Figure 8” positions on the M 269's pattern selection switch below the headbasket are replaced by a remote-control feature labelled ‘F’; both positions (which function identically) allow the mic’s pickup pattern to be controlled remotely via the switch on the power supply. A side-effect of this feature is that the M269, unlike the U67, provides continuously-variable pattern selection.

Serviced by Gunter Wagner at Wanger Microphones prior to sale.

Includes the original Neumann mic case. Includes power supply and power supply cable. Power supply is a non-original 220v (AU) Peak Power supply made by Bill Bradley (The Mic Shop) in the USA. Does not include a shock mount.
