After being purchased in 1957, Epiphone's FT-45 Cortez was introduced featuring the construction of Gibson's LG-2 but with a different cosmetic flare. Featuring an X braced Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides and a 24 3/4″ scale length. Sporting the desirable 1 11/16 wide nut and short headstock; features discontinued in 1963. Made in the Kalamazoo factory, Michigan.
Has had a crack in top professionally repaired here at Found Sound. Original pasteboard case.
