The Alesis QSR is a 64-voice, 16-part multitimbral rackmount synthesizer module that delivers the same powerful sound engine found in the QS7 and QS8 keyboards. Housed in a compact 1U rack format, it features 16-bit, 48kHz sample playback synthesis with 16MB of onboard ROM—expandable to 32MB via PCMCIA cards. The QSR includes a versatile effects engine derived from the Alesis QuadraVerb 2, offering reverb, delay, chorus, and more. Connectivity options include MIDI In/Out/Thru, four audio outputs, an ADAT digital output, and a serial port for computer integration. With General MIDI support, Sound Bridge software compatibility, and a clear user interface, the QSR is a flexible and capable tool for both studio and live use.
