The Cube is a compact desktop 500 Series power rack designed to make modular studio gear more accessible and portable. It houses three 500 Series modules in a rugged 14-gauge steel frame and is fully backwards compatible with older API modules while optimised for Radial’s range of preamps, processors and routing devices.
An external power supply delivers up to 500mA of shared current for power-hungry modules, along with a dedicated 48V phantom supply providing 10mA for microphone preamps. Dual gold-contact EDAC connectors ensure solid signal transfer, and the rear panel offers XLR and 1/4-inch TRS connections for flexible routing, cross-patching and parallel processing.
Instead of traditional hardwired patching, the Cube features an internal feed function to link modules in series without cables, plus simple switch-based stereo linking. Each slot also includes an Omniport TRS jack, allowing manufacturers to assign additional functions such as key inputs for gates. Optional angle kits allow the unit to be recessed into a tabletop for a clean studio setup.
