The Neutron Filter is a 12HP stereo analog filter whose parameters are digitally controlled. The filter topology is 2 x 4 pole but it can be run in series as a mono 8 pole filter. Can be set up various different ways: from basic LP/HP resonant filtering, to EQ band, to weird formant shapes. This is wrapped in the "top layer" of the UI as a character control. You can set the filter to behave characteristically like some classic filters. Some filters that are considered "liquid", some that are considered ladderish "fat" and so on. And you can blend between them. Furthermore, it has a switchable +20db boost to drive the filter into smooth but hard distortion.
