Bébé Chérie is a 6-channel stereo analogue mixer equipped with a one-knob compressor and a Bliss enhancer on the master bus. The first 4 channels feature variable input gain and an asymmetrical diode clipper for smooth distortion, along with a Tilt pot for easy one-knob equalisation. The rear panel switch allows selection between TRS and TS inputs for stereo and mono sources, respectively.
The remaining 2 channels provide a 2-band Baxandall equalizer with adjustable input gain, ensuring a clean sound without distortion. The compressor, with a 3:1 ratio and fast attack, is designed for mixdown compression, while the Bliss pot enhances high frequencies, adding air and punch to the mix, particularly effective with heavy compression.
Whenever a channel is muted, the signal is routed to the Alternate output. You can use this output for recording purposes or for sending the channel to an external effect.
The Phones output is based on an unity gain, low noise and low distortion Texas Instruments© amplifier. This output is a copy of the master output (with compression and Bliss), so you can also use it as a second output.
