Based off AD&R's original unit from the early '70s through to the '90s, the F760X-RS is a FET based compressor with capabilities extending to compression, peak limiting and expansion/gating all at once and in stereo.
This reissue is as faithful as can be however there are some changes here and there to accommodate modern manufacturing methods or to account for certain parts no longer being made.
A side chain access point has also been added on each channel(1/4" TRS) that can be switched from compression to the expander/gate section by moving an internal jumper. Improvements have been made in voltage references and the potentiometers upgraded to conductive plastic as well as multi-turn trimmers to preserve calibration over longer periods.
The F760X-RS is a flexible and dynamic processor and has woven it's magic into many hit records of the 1970s and '80s.
Set up for operation at 120 volts though fuse can be swapped over for 240 volts. Very minor rack rash on top of chassis and one mounting slot, otherwise in excellent condition.
