Back in 1957, when Gibson decided to snag the Epiphone Guitar Company, they probably didn't expect to kick off a legacy of cool that would have guitar aficionados drooling decades later. Moving production to Kalamazoo, Michigan, Gibson had this wild idea to differentiate Epiphone dealers from Gibson ones by rolling out a new line of “Kalamazoo-designed” beauties in 1959. Fast forward, and these Epiphone solid bodies were hanging out right next to Gibsons, throwing some serious shapes, pickup configurations, and sounds that their Gibson siblings could only dream of. Initially, these guitars were the wallflowers of the guitar prom, but guess what? Legends like Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Winter eventually spotted their unique charm.

Enter the Wilshire Pro - a guitar not just resting on its vintage laurels but strutting its stuff with a solid mahogany body, a neck that’s glued in rather than bolted (because commitment matters), and pickups that can go from zero to hero with just a flick. Released in 2006, this guitar isn't exactly the new kid on the block, but it's like that cool, slightly older cousin who knows all the best bands before they hit the big time. With its Alnico Classic humbuckers and a bridge that stays in tune like it's got nothing better to do, the Wilshire Pro has that blend of retro vibe and modern playability that makes you think, "Maybe I can be cool too."

Includes sticker-slapped hard-shell case.
